June Crawford is the current CEO of BARSA and has held this position since 2014. She had previously held positions at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. June had also been appointed by the Honorable Minister of Transport to the position on a non-executive director of the South African ANSP, Air Traffic and Navigation Services (2008-2012) before becoming CEO.

Crawford’s extensive management experience across commercial and operational disciplines in the airline industry and highly motivated business approach, has given her the edge when dealing with a wide range of stakeholders within the scope of BARSA.  With over a decade’s board experience and a keen sense of good corporate governance, her abilities are focused on developing a safe, efficient and sustainable aviation industry in South Africa.

June Crawford shows her strength in leadership by being a member of the Institute of Directors of South Africa. She also serves as a board member of the Aviation Co-ordination Services (PTY) Ltd and a Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa. This strengthens her leadership capabilities in terms of how she is able to manage BARSA successfully.
