– New feature: AF Press now available on smartphone

Today, at the third edition of the #AFDigiDays, an event dedicated to digital innovation, Air France is presenting its fully-digital airport experience, the result of an investment of 60 million euros per year by the Air France-KLM Group in its innovative ground services to better serve its customers. The #AFDigidays are interactive and can be followed live on Twitter with “#AFDigiDays” as from 7pm..

From home to the door of the aircraft, Air France accompanies its customers all the way with a fully digital airport experience:

At the airport, customers benefit from the latest Air France innovations to organize their trip in advance. They can:
– Purchase additional options for their flight or print their baggage tags at the ergonomic interactive kiosks. 700 kiosks will be installed at the 180 Air France stations worldwide, including 250 at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

– Check in their baggage in 45 seconds, using the new automatic baggage drop-off machines. Today, at both Paris airports, half of all baggage drop-off areas are automated.
– Ask Air France agents for assistance. With their 400 iPads they can access passengers’ reservation files, make changes to them (upgrades) or purchase options (lounge access, Seat Plus etc.).

– Board their flight independently, by scanning the flash code from the Air France App that they downloaded when they checked in online.

And still available:

– The Air France App enables passengers to organize their trip in advance, check in 30 hours before their flight and obtain their boarding pass.
– AF Connect informs them in real time of their flight status and other useful information such as the boarding gate number.
– Contacting the Company’s customer care department has never been easier. Customers can access a direct link to the Air France App via Facebook and Twitter, and can exchange messages with the Company all over the world. They will receive a reply within the hour, 24/7. If they prefer to phone, in just one click they will be connected to the Company’s call centre.

Air France Press, now available on Smartphone

The Air France Press App is now also available on smartphone, in addition to tablets. It enables you to download one or more newspapers and magazines from Air France’s selection of digital French and international press. All you need is a reservation on an Air France flight to start downloading. This selection of newspapers and magazines is available all over the world from 30 hours before the flight and until the time of departure. They can be consulted before, during and after your flight.
