The Board of Airline Representatives of South Africa (BARSA) – one
of many BARs throughout the world – has benchmarked itself against the
representative bodies in United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
BARSA sets itself apart from similar associations in the country by
having a dedicated office and CEO, Mr. Allan Moore, making the body more authoritative
and better able to serve its members’ needs effectively.
We aim to establish a recognised means of communication between member
airlines and statutory and other organisations whose interests and
actions influence or affect member airlines and the aviation industry.
Our purpose is to act on issues affecting the aviation industry in
South Africa and to provide a single concerted voice on policy and
other matters when dealing with the government and other aviation
industry stakeholders.
